Making more hair bows. I still can't get enough of Kennedy's curly hair! I would kill for these locks. My sister Marian is the lucky one who inherited my Dad's curls. How nice would it be to have the option for straight or curly hair every day? And it's not a crazy curly that's hard to maintain, just scrunch if you want it type thing. BTW--Hilary and Marian will be in town this week and I'm super pumped! Any fun ideas?
Building TowersThe girls love to build with the blocks and are constantly trying to beat their height record. I just introduced Taylor to Dominoes yesterday and I think we played for 2 1/2 hours together. Fun. I hope my girls will love games like I do. I'm trying to teach them young not to be too crazy competitive with winning (it's hard to see your flaws being passed on...). We only had a couple of meltdowns when I beat her. She's learning to give a high five to the winner and say "Way to go!". She also picked up on the phrase "hit me" when she needs another domino. Funny girl. I love hearing cute phrases come out of her mouth. Yesterday she told me that she didn't need a bath because she was still "clean as a whistle". I'm pretty sure I don't say that phrase, so it was hilarious to hear her repeat it.
Singing "I am a Child of God"
We sing a lot at our house, but Kennedy has always been just a listener. She knows a couple of songs, but has to be really encouraged to sing them on her own. The other day we were snuggling and she just started singing "I am a child of God" on her own---like all the words of the first verse! My heart sang! It's so sweet to hear your kids sing and get a glimpse of all the things they are constantly soaking up, whether we realize it or not. This makes it to the "Top 10 cutest things she's ever done" list. PS: Sometimes that's a yikes! The other day she went around all morning saying "Dang-it", with much inflection-- not on the list, but still SOOO cute (?).
I guess it could be worse...

I love your reward system. I saw that idea on another blog and it worlked wonders for them. I love that yours is more stuff to do, then stuff to get. So much cheaper. I'm sure Taylor tells you every week that Andrews money got taken away. I think Sister Anderson is at the end of her rope with him.
We should have a bow making night. IT would be so fun to make a bunch and a lot of fun to get together with people. Are you up for it?
i would like to think her nursery teacher had something to do with knowing the words to I Am A Child Of God...we have been working on it! :o) what a cutie...she never acts like that in nursery! I am never seen her actually jump and sing "beam!"
You are such a great mom. So I want to see a close up of your crafty bows you make.
