Kennedy has been faithfully sprinkling water on her seed from her Sunbeams class at church. This thing grew so fast--still have no idea what it's going to be. It's the first thing she checks on in the morning (after she has woken me up with claims of being
starving!).
Taylor's kindergarten class raised chicken eggs in an incubator and watched them through the hatching process. I have to say she knows WAY more about this than I even do. She has an amazing memory for all the details. We got to bring 2 of the chicks home for an over-nighter!
Do they look thrilled? They had so much fun letting the chicks roam in our backyard. The yellow one is now named Lucky Luck and the black one is Speedy. Kennedy had a hard time getting her small hands on them to hold them...but she sure tried. It was painful to watch. The girls spent over an hour hunting for rollie pollies to feed to them.
This was so sweet. Taylor took the best care of these newly feathered cheepers. She re-filled the water and food MULTIPLE times. Those chicks are messy (and stinky). The best part--Tay lined up all her My Little Ponies by their aquarium so they could be entertained. The chicks really did inspect the ponies. One night was definitely enough for our overnight friends...but so FUN!

the My Little Ponies thing is precious! How thoughtful of her!
you are a brave woman. i would have been too freaked out that something would happen to them under my watchful eye. love that they spent and hour searching for rollie pollies...hope you got something done!
So cute! I don't think Bryson would have been so nice to the little chics. Fun thing to do, does everyone in the class get to take them home over night?
