My mom finished Grant's quilt! It turned out gorgeous!! I love it and can't wait until he has his own room to hang it so I can stare at it everyday. I'm amazed at how long it takes to make a quilt like this. What a gift of love. Mom was finishing it in the hospital, just in time for him to come. Throughout the LONG week that I was overdue we were joking that Grant was just waiting for his quilt to be finished so that he could come in style. Thanks mom, WE love it!!

For the 4th of July we went to the Downtown Roseville Parade in the morning. Tim rode his bike with the girls and my nephew Joses. It was a fun parade and Grant's first outing. The rest of the day we spent at the Boehrer's house eating, hanging out at the pool, eating and doing / watching fireworks in their circle. That was a fun and long day!

Baby Grant at one week. He is a really good baby! At his one week appointment he already weighed 8 lbs. 12oz. I couldn't believe it! My girls have never gained weight this quickly--he does love to eat. His cord fell off last night and the girls are now fascinated with looking at his NEW bellybutton. Taylor was mad that I didn't save the dried up cord for her to inspect--oops.

Kennedy LOVES to hold Grant and she is really doing well with all this change and transition. She is quick to give him kisses and get me anything I desire: burp cloths, diapers, wipes etc. The first thing she does every morning is come into my room and check on him. She is a sweetheart.

This picture was taken the day we got home from the hospital. Taylor is also a great helper....it's what big sisters do! She babysits him while I take a shower and she does a really good job calming him down when he thinks he is starving. Grant loves the swing and it's been a life-saver! I can put him down and do lots of things. I think Grant may be my first child to take a pacifier. We haven't tried it much yet, but the kid can really suck! He will be the first to take a bottle, just so Daddy can watch him. My girls NEVER took a bottle and it was exhausting to never leave them. Tim is so proud of having a son (especially with his red hair!) and I find myself falling deeper in love with my husband as he is so sweet with babies and being a Daddy.

Dear Grandson Grant,
You look so small on that big quilt, but I am gald we finally got it done and that you arrived healthy and happy and with the predicted red hair! Your Mom did a great job in the delivery--I was there for the whole thing ;-)and was extra proud of your Mom and Dad.
Much Love and Kisses,
Grandma Webb
That picture with the quilt makes him look like a baby doll! Then, I think about it and realize that the quilt is large. It is a gorgeous quilt! Glad you are enjoying him. When my brother was born, he had ALL the attention!
He's beautiful! Glad everyone's doing well. Love you!
I love seeing a little boy in your family! :) Taylor and Kennedy are thrilled as can be! Can't wait to meet him. We need to get together for his pictures! I'll call you. Can't wait!!!
That quilt is amazing. I love the colors too. I'm glad to hear the transition going well. Hopefully it will keep going well especially after the newness wears off. Miss you guys! We look forward to seeing more pictures so we can see him grow up.
So Cute and I love all of the pictures and the JULY 4Th is a good one he cant even hold a flag oh man You are a great parent and I love you very much !!
He's a doll. Taylor loves "the girl Taylor" so you'll have to let us know when you're going to be at park day so they can play. Lylee and Kennedy would have a blast too. Oh, and I want to hold that baby....
