Eriko is our foreign exchange student from Japan that stayed with us for one week. Taylor loves her and is trying to do the classic "peace" sign with her. We still could not get to the bottom of why all of Japan make the peace sign in EVERY picture!
Eriko turned 17 while she was with us. We took her to In-N-Out to celebrate and took her on her first time miniature golfing.
It was so nice to change the boring routine of watching TV every night! We went out as a family and did so many things! We showed her the mall, Downtown Sacramento, the Capitol Bldg., Foresthill Bridge (the tallest bridge in CA), Bishop's Farm, Sunsplash, cement slides, the library, Winco, family's homes and tried to give her the "American experience" --which was a lot of pressure! One week to see it all and she was along for the ride. She was so sweet, loved playing with my kids and improved in her English so much while she was here!
Taylor let Eriko use her big girl bed during her visit, but in exchange for the favor, she woke her up every morning nice and early to play with her. I hope we never forget this awesome week. We learned so much about another culture!! I recommend it to anyone :)
