A big Bushman family. I love these people! Every other year since I can remember we've been doing the JVB Reunions. I look forward to them and now I can't believe it's over. My cousins are awesome, inspiring, so talented and super funny. I'm always in awe that one family could produce so much talent. I miss the card games, karaoke, great food, laughing, volleyball (we didn't play near enough this year!) and cousin chats already.
Coats, pants and 3 layers with boots? Yes. It was freezing at the beach in No. Ca Mendocino Coast. Gorgeous, but quite chilly. The kids didn't seem to mind. They saw a few starfish, lots of little crabs and some sunbathing sea lions. We came home with lots of shells too.
We thought we were tent camping, but were happily surprised that for once I upgraded something...and man was I glad to not be sleeping outside in the chilliness. Our little cabin even had a heater. It was the girl's first experience with bunkbeds (K only fell off once).
Is that Kennedy Briana's holding? Hard to tell under all the dirt. All the toddlers entertained themselves pretty much 24/7 in the gravel/pebble/dirt. They had a glorious time and it was fun to watch them be content in a pile of dirt.
Yes, those are pink cowgirl boots at the beach! Tay was so excited to wear them she wouldn't take them off. I scored them at Goodwill right before the trip for $4. No more full price for me. The thrift stores have been good to me lately--but, that's a whole other post!
Point Cabrillo Light station. We spent part of the day with the Kanets exploring this lighthouse and Fort Bragg where we had some yummy clam chowder and walked around Glass Beach (which used to be the town dump and now has lots of broken glass that has been smoothed over and mixed in with the sand).I love reunions!
