Happy 6th Birthday my Taylor girl!

Taylor wanted to go to the Jelly Belly Factory for her birthday. Tim took the day off work (his idea--surprised?) and off we went with Mema. We had a fun day and ate a heck of a lot of jelly bellies.

For her party this year she wanted to hit the community water park again. She invited a few friends and their families and we had a blast! My Little Ponies was the theme this year and I kept Taylor busy making all the decorations and cupcake toppers. The weather cooperated really nicely for all the parents talking....I mean watching the kids :) It all ended in a water cup fight. Even my Dad got drenched! Actually, I'm pretty sure he was one of the instigators. What a fun day!

I love my Taylor and seriously cannot believe that she is six already.
Here are some 6 year old Taylorisms:

• Loves to be in charge! Not sure where she gets this from (ha!) but she makes the decisions and gets things done....including directing all playing, cleaning the house etc. I know this is an oldest sister thing, but she was just born with this personality. Things must always be fair and people must always follow the rules OR ELSE.
  
• Reading, writing and drawing are some of her favorite things. She insists on reading during storytime and family scripture reading and still loves to write notes and draw pictures for her friends and family. I love this about her. It's been fun to decipher her phonetic writing. She keeps a notebook in the car--her artwork has gotten really cute lately.
  
• Being girlie. She loves her hair to be done in bows and she would pick out a pink butterfly outfit everyday if we had enough. I need to get this girl on the stage because she loves attention and performing (this is SO not passed on from me).
• Taylor is a sweetheart when she wants to be. She is the BEST helper and usually has such a positive attitude and radiant smile. I think this attracts lots of friends and she will probably be the teacher's pet the rest of her life.
