2009--Oh Yes, We Doin' Fine

A look back at 2009 at the Watford home:

Life with 3 kids has been an adjustment, but I can't imagine it now without 3! The girls play non-stop and Grant is happy to watch and enjoy the ride.

Tim found a job after a few months of being un-employed early in the year. It's been hard to cut back, but we've learned what is important and have tried to find a nice family balance this year. It's been great to have Daddy home more and less stressed. Tim has earned the Super Dad award this year taking on more of the kid responsibilities. He recently took care of the girls while I went on a 5 day trip with Grant...yes, he's that wonderful!

I feel like I'm constantly in catch-up mode lately. I've had a couple wedding decorating jobs the last 2 months and I'm excited to expand my business a little more. I'm still the Enrichment (Activities) counselor in our church and I love being involved with the girl's schools.

We have put our house on the market and are trying to figure out our future plans. It's exciting to think about change, but scary to jump in with the faith that it will work out!

Taylor is in first grade and loves to read and write! She is usually found with a notebook and a pen handy. It's been amazing to see her progression. She is a very thoughtful and giving spirit. Taylor has been so helpful with Grant and loves to carry him around. She received a keyboard for Christmas and is excited to learn to play the piano.

Kennedy just turned 4! We do a co-op preschool twice a week with some friends. She loves to have her own thing to do. Kennedy loves books, coloring, movies, playing outside and spends lots of time playing princesses with Taylor. She knows her letter sounds and is trying to write letters. We can always count on her for a good belly laugh. She has such a sweet smile and a tender heart.

The highlight of the year was having a sweet baby boy join our family on June 29th. Grant is such a sweet sweet boy. His smile literally lights up the room and he stops lots of women in their tracks already. He's a charmer! His personality is pretty mellow and happy, which is nice since his sisters are always in his face and on the move. Grant weighs about 21 lbs and is a chubster if you didn't notice his multiple chins in the above picture. He's been rolling all around and trying to sit up. This week he will be 6 months and start on baby food. It's gone by fast!

We hope your year was wonderful!
2010 sounds promising and exciting so far.
May we all keep our focus on what is most important in our lives.

Love,
The Watfords
